Job Description

Job Description

Bridgeway Partners is hiring an Entry-Level Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing professional search team.

\n

\n

No previous sales experience is required.

\n

\n

We're looking for motivated, outgoing, and driven individuals who are interested in learning sales, building relationships, and developing valuable business skills. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn how to prospect, communicate with business leaders, identify new opportunities, and develop client relationships while receiving direct training and mentorship from experienced sales professionals.

\n

\n

About the Opportunity

\n

At Bridgeway, we help companies identify and recruit talented professionals for important positions within their organizations. Our business development team is responsible for identifying prospective clients, starting conversations with business leaders, understanding their hiring needs, and developing relationships that lead to new business. This is a sales-focused position that involves research, cold calling, outreach, follow-up, and relationship building. You'll learn how to generate business opportunities, handle objections, and communicate confidently with professionals at all levels.

\n

\n

Why Bridgeway?

\n

Bridgeway Partners has been in business for over 20 years and is entering an exciting period of growth. Our goal is to double the business by 2030 through expansion into new markets, investments in technology, and the development of our team. We take a relationship-driven approach to business development, focusing on building long-term partnerships rather than simply making one-time sales. As a new member of our team, you'll work alongside experienced professionals who have spent decades developing business and managing client relationships. You'll receive hands-on training, direct coaching, and opportunities to take on greater responsibility as your skills develop.

\n

\n

What You'll Do

\n

You'll begin by learning the fundamentals of sales and business development, including:

\n
    \n
  • Researching companies, industries, and prospective clients
  • \n
  • Identifying business leaders and key decision-makers
  • \n
  • Making outbound calls and sending emails to prospective clients
  • \n
  • Starting conversations with professionals you haven't met before
  • \n
  • Learning how to ask questions and identify potential business needs
  • \n
  • Building and maintaining a pipeline of prospective clients
  • \n
  • Managing contacts, outreach, and follow-up using CRM systems and AI tools
  • \n
  • Handling objections, navigating rejection, and improving your sales approach
  • \n
  • Staying organized and accountable to activity and performance goals
  • \n
\n

\n

As you gain experience, you'll begin developing relationships with assigned companies, participating in client conversations, and identifying new business opportunities. Over time, you'll gain exposure to more advanced sales responsibilities, including client meetings, presentations, negotiations, and account management.

\n

\n

You don't need to know how to do these things on day one. We'll teach you.

\n

\n

What We're Looking For

\n

We're interested in individuals who:

\n
    \n
  • Are early in their careers and interested in developing sales skills
  • \n
  • Enjoy talking with people and building relationships
  • \n
  • Are confident or willing to become comfortable initiating conversations
  • \n
  • Are competitive, self-motivated, and goal-oriented
  • \n
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • \n
  • Are persistent and can handle rejection without becoming discouraged
  • \n
  • Are organized, dependable, and willing to put in consistent effort
  • \n
  • Respond well to coaching, feedback, and constructive criticism
  • \n
  • Want to be challenged and take ownership of their performance
  • \n
\n

\n

Previous sales or business development experience is not required. We value attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn over previous industry experience.

\n

\n

What You'll Gain

\n

Our goal is to help you develop the skills and confidence to become a successful sales professional. Over your first 18–24 months, you'll gain practical experience in:

\n
    \n
  • Prospecting, cold calling, and lead generation
  • \n
  • Professional communication and relationship building
  • \n
  • Sales strategy and business development
  • \n
  • Understanding businesses and identifying client needs
  • \n
  • Negotiation, persuasion, and objection handling
  • \n
  • Pipeline management, organization, and accountability
  • \n
  • Working with executives and business decision-makers
  • \n
\n

\n

These skills provide a strong foundation for long-term career growth, including opportunities in Account Management, Account Executive roles, Business Development, Sales Leadership, and Search Consulting.

\n

\n

Interested in Joining Our Team?

\n

We're not looking for someone who already knows how to sell. We're looking for someone who wants to learn, is motivated to succeed, and is willing to put in the effort to become great at it.

\n

If you're looking to start a career in sales, develop valuable professional skills, and join a growing team where your effort and performance matter, we'd like to hear from you.
