You will work closely with importers, exporters, freight forwarders, government agencies, and internal operations teams to facilitate customs clearance and maintain regulatory compliance.

If you thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment and take pride in delivering accurate, timely solutions, we want to hear from you! Willing to hire someone who doesn’t have their license yet, but is working towards getting it.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations and applicable international trade laws.
  • Classify imported products using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS).
  • Determine proper customs valuation, country of origin, and applicable duties, taxes, and fees.
  • Process customs entries, including formal and informal entries, through the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE).
  • Coordinate with CBP, freight forwarders, carriers, importers, and other government agencies to facilitate timely customs clearance.
  • Review commercial invoices, bills of lading, packing lists, certificates of origin, and other shipping documents.
  • Research and resolve customs holds, entry discrepancies, classification questions, and compliance issues.
  • Advise clients on import regulations, duty rates, trade agreements, and customs procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with federal recordkeeping requirements.
  • Monitor changes in customs regulations, tariffs, trade policies, and import/export restrictions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customs clearance processes and operational efficiency.
  • Support customs audits, compliance reviews, and post-entry corrections.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Active U.S. Customs Broker License issued by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
  • Previous professional experience in customs brokerage, import compliance, or international trade operations.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, HTS classification, and import documentation.
  • Experience using ACE and customs brokerage software.
  • Understanding of customs valuation, country-of-origin requirements, and tariff regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple shipments, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with USMCA and other free trade agreements.
  • Knowledge of antidumping and countervailing duties (AD/CVD).
  • Experience with Partner Government Agency (PGA) requirements, including FDA, USDA, and EPA.
  • Experience managing customs audits and regulatory compliance programs.
  • Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) designation.
  • Experience supporting high-volume import operations or multiple client accounts.
  • Will consider a non-licensed Broker if they had intentions of becoming licensed within a year or two

Why Join Our Team?

  • Professional Growth: Expand your expertise in global trade, customs compliance, and logistics operations.
  • Collaborative Environment: Work alongside experienced professionals who value accuracy, teamwork, and customer service.
