Job Description:
- Position: ER Registered Nurse (RN)
- Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
- Experience Required: Minimum of 1 year in Emergency Nursing. First-timers accepted!
- Certifications Required:
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- NIHSS
- Patient Ratios: 1:5 with mixed/shared acuity levels
- Float Requirement: Required when census warrants
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
- Key Skills Needed:
- General Emergency Department - Combined Adult/Pedi
- Interpretation and Management of Dysrhythmias
- Management of Multisystem Organ Dysfunction/Failure
- Blood Product Administration
- Central Line Care/Management
- Phlebotomy and IV Start/Management
- Continuous IV Paralytics and IV Sedation
- Emergency Medications and IV Vasopressors
- Procedural Sedation Administration
- Isolation Precautions and Strong General Experience
- Charting System: Epic (Preferred)
- Scrub Color: Any combination of navy and white
- Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Daily Census: Approximately 64 patients with 145 visits per day
- Facility Support: Interdisciplinary support from IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and more
Important Notes:
- Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and placing IVs is required for all RNs.
- Minimal RTO (right to time off) is preferred-no more than 10 days.
- Candidates must possess a valid NY state license.
- Locals (within 75 miles) are not accepted.
- Candidates will float as needed.
